Singles Handbook

The Singles Handbook was one I purchased before and covers basics that most 3.5 players and below should learn in order to advance. The trademark theme is a lot of chalk talk with colored magnets on a whiteboard. There is a lot of explanation good for an auditory-based learner.

2) Baseline Boot Camp (For Beginners and Intermediates)

  For kids ages 5-14, the BBC program is a great way for beginner and intermediate players to further develop their game. Students will learn proper grips, swing patterns, and rules of the game. Coaches will emphasize proper footwork, and competitive play is introduced. (Full day of tennis)

3) Advanced Tournament Training Camp (For Experienced Players)

  Training will focus on tennis specific fitness, on court drills, and match play. It is the ideal camp for players looking to take their game to the next level. Coaches will emphasize footwork and agility, decision making skills, and competitive play. (Full day of tennis)

Tips for Tennis Strings

1. If your shots seem to be spraying everywhere, it may be time to re-string your racket*
2. If you find yourself breaking strings too often, then buy a thicker gauge string such as 15g or 16g. The lower the number, the thicker the string and less likely it will snap.
3. Or try using polyester strings, if you do not have any arm problems.
4. Keep your rackets cool in an insulated bag, and never store them in a hot car overnight!
5. Putting them in the trunk will almost guarantee tension loss (and ruining your string job)
